The Development Trend of Tunnel Kiln

2023年04月24日

Due to continuous operation, tunnel kilns maximize the utilization of flue gas and waste heat, with high thermal efficiency and good working conditions. They are widely used in the refractory industry and are suitable for firing various refractory bricks such as high alumina bricks, clay bricks, silica bricks, magnesia bricks, sliding plates, aluminum carbon bricks, etc. Modern tunnel kilns are developing towards large-scale, lightweight, flat, and intelligent trends.

1. Large scale

The national industrial policy requires to improve the concentration ratio of enterprises, scale up enterprises, high output of similar products, and large market share. Therefore, large-scale kilns can increase the output of single kilns, thereby improving the comprehensive efficiency of kilns, and reducing energy consumption standards.

2. Lightweight

Refractory materials are developing towards lightweight, so using new types of insulation refractory materials to build kilns can reduce heat storage and dissipation, especially for kiln cars, while also reducing the weight of the kiln body. The application of alumina hollow ball brick lining in tunnel kilns is already quite common, and the surface of the fired belt lining is coated with energy-saving infrared reflective coating.

3. Flattening

The widening and moderate reduction in height of the kiln can reduce the creep of the lower products. This requires minimizing the upper and lower temperatures of the pre tropical section, adopting a flat suspended ceiling structure to reduce the buoyancy of the hot air flow, and using high-speed temperature regulating burners.

4. Intelligence

Automatic control of kiln firing temperature, dual flow meters and dual actuators, precise control of air to air ratio, saving energy by 8% to 10% year-on-year, and relatively more environmentally friendly. The firing temperature is flexible and optional, making it more convenient to use multiple kilns, ensuring product traceability, consistency and stability of the same product and different batches.

The automatic control of the kiln pressure system is the guarantee of temperature control, so the variable frequency adjustment of the fan automatically realizes the pressure curve. And the kiln car outside the kiln also requires intelligent transportation and central control system. The transportation of kiln cars outside the kiln, the positioning of electric trailers, the lifting and lowering of the main doors, and the automatic entry and exit of the top car machine are all interlocked and controlled, and the operation room is completed with one click.

Intelligent management of the entire process of firing products. As long as the product temperature curve, kiln pressure curve, atmosphere curve, etc. are input into the industrial control computer, click to start operation, and the control system will automatically complete the entire process of heating, insulation, and cooling without manual intervention.

Electric fusion bricks and clay bricks are both refractory materials and have a wide range of uses in building materials. Today, Yuhua Electric Fusion Technology will introduce their differences to everyone:

Refractory bricks are abbreviated as firebricks. Refractory materials made by firing refractory clay or other refractory materials. Light yellow or brownish in color. Mainly used for building smelting furnaces, capable of withstanding high temperatures ranging from 1580 ℃ to 1770 ℃. Also known as firebricks. Refractory materials with a certain shape and size. According to the preparation process, it can be divided into fired bricks, unburned bricks, electric fused bricks (fused cast bricks), and fire-resistant and insulated bricks; According to shape and size, it can be divided into standard bricks, ordinary bricks, special bricks, etc. It can be used as high-temperature building materials and structural materials for building kilns and various thermal equipment, and can withstand various physical and chemical changes and mechanical effects at high temperatures. For example, refractory clay bricks, high alumina bricks, silica bricks, magnesium bricks, etc.
